TEACHING
Megan is a Suzuki Violin and Viola Teacher who enjoys making learning fun for students of all ages. She is a firm believer in the Suzuki mantra "Every Child Can" meaning every child can learn to play the violin well.
Megan uses learning violin as a tool to teach other lessons to her young students like treating others with kindness first, patience, dedication, and how to work towards achieving personal goals.

Teaching Policies:
Behavior and Preparation:
Students should arrive at each lesson having practiced fully their assigned work, and having listened to their music at least five times since the last lesson. Please bring your instrument, all books, notebook, and pencil to each lesson. Lesson times will not be extended or made up if a student is late or unprepared.
Please arrive at least five minutes before your lesson time, unpack in the hallway, and prepare for the lesson. For younger students, please use the bathroom and wash hands before the lesson.
In teaching the Suzuki method, parents as partners are an essential ingredient in student success. For all students aged ten and under, guardian attendance and participation is mandatory in lessons. Guardians should come ready to take notes and actively listen, in order to best help their student practice throughout the week. Ideally, the same guardian will attend lessons and practice with the student each week, and only the guardian and student will attend the lesson, leaving other children in the care of someone else.
I am preparing students for work in a professional world, whether or not it be in music. Students are expected to be kind, use basic manners, and participate fully. They are expected to come on time, and prepared each week. Students will learn that early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable.
Absolutely no bullying of any kind is tolerated in any form, by students or parents.

Payments and Scheduling:
Monthly payment of tuition is due on the 5th for the upcoming month for all lessons scheduled that month. A $20 late fee occurs on all payments that are not paid by the 10th of the month. Should any financial hardships arrive, please let me know. Tuition payment holds your time slot for you, otherwise the time may go to another student.
Each lesson will be taught at the time at which it was originally scheduled. Should a family need to miss a lesson, please let me know as far in advance as possible. Make-up lessons are on a time-available basis, and then limited to three total makeups per school year. You must give notice prior to the start of the lesson to be considered for a make-up. Otherwise, the tuition is forfeited.
Should I need to change the lesson time for any reason, including weather, I will contact you and the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded.
Performances, Group Classes, and Workshops:
